Jeans for Genes Day

Written by Kerri, 27 September 2016

On Friday last week, Wise celebrated Jeans for Genes Day.

When this idea was first announced, it was met by puzzled faces and a few glances around the room. Those who know Wise well will know that, as a company, we are pretty good at wearing jeans!

“Isn’t every day a jeans day?” I was asked.

“We’re going to overdo it in denim!” I replied.

The turnout was fantastic. Staff came in denim jeans, denim jackets, denim shirts, double denim and triple denim.

Many of us also baked sweet treats to encourage more donations, and everyone donated generously to walk around looking like 1995. We raised over £130 for Jeans for Genes.

What is Jeans for Genes?

Jeans for Genes Day raises money to fund a range of initiatives and projects to help improve the lives of children affected by a genetic disorder. Workplaces and schools are encouraged to denim up and donate, with the money going to the charity Genetic Disorders UK.
